Poverty is not a subject that many talk about. It is a complex problem that never seem to get the attention of the mainstream society, a different layer that we are not in touch with.
Poverty has many faces—one of them being homelessness. San Francisco has the highest per capita rate of homelessness of any major American city. Up to 7,000 homeless people live in SF at a given time. Only 15% of the homeless in SF are from out of state. Another 15% are from out of the city. 70% of SF’s homeless are natives.
